Swing Trading FAQ
How fast will I get an email of your executions in the Swing Trading Service?
An email notification will be sent out within one minute of execution and in most cases a few seconds, Depending on email traffic and or network conditions you should be getting trade notifications very quickly.
Does the Swing Trading service include access to the Live Access room each day?
No. But it does include the weekly Monday evening webinar that usually runs about 1 hour in length. We discuss open and closed positions as well as current market conditions. We encourage questions at this weekly event.
Can the trade alerts be sent to my wireless phone as a text message?
This feature is coming very soon. But for now you can contact your wireless carrier and get your own email address to emails via text message alert.
How much do you allocate to each swing trade?
A full position is 10% of a cash portfolio value. In most cases, positions are scaled in one half and one third increments at a time depending on the volatility of the market.
How do you update us on current positions and performance?
Every Monday night we spend one hour going over current market conditions and open/closed positions we have taken in the service. Question and Answer is always encouraged on the gotomeeting weekly webinars. A running performance sheet will also be made available.
How many trades will you typically make a week?
Of course this will always depend on market conditions, but the terms of service call for at least 3 round trip trades in a one month period. However there may be periods where 3 round trips are done in 3 days time, depending on market conditions.
Will you go short in a down market?
Yes of course if that is what the market is dictating. We actually prefer to use ETF vehicles like SDS but not averse to shorting other names. Some people have to use a long-only account and that is the benefit buying inverse ETFs such as SDS when the markets are falling.
